Noteworthy Reporting held their 2014 third quarter fundraiser for Read and Feed, a non-profit whose mission is to bridge the literacy gap for low-income children in Wake County.  This charity creates a safe and healthy place to learn, where caring tutors help young readers build skills and self-confidence, while fostering a love for reading.  They feed them first — it is hard to learn on an empty stomach — and then they give them books to build home libraries.

The signature program of Read and Feed is the Feed the Reader Road Show.  In partnership with elementary schools across the Wake County Public School System, the program serves communities by bringing its mobile classroom into neighborhoods where students need help the most.
